Toss Report: DD vs RR

Toss Report: DD vs RR

Delhi: The rock of Delhi, Gautam Gambhir, has won the toss and elected to bat. The Feroz Shah Kotla ground is on the slower side and like the previous game here between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders, teams will look to attack in the first six overs. The toss at Delhi has become quite important considering the nature of the wicket.

Speaking to Ravi Shastri Delhi, Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir said, "All games are important from here on [for us to] reach the semis. Anything above 170 should be a god total. [Dirk] Nannes is out because of injury, [Farveez] Maharoof comes in his place." Dirk Nannes will be out recuperating for a week.

Talking about the wily opponent Shane Warne Gambhir said, "It’s all about playing Rajasthan Royals and beat them as convincingly as possible."

Speaking to Dominic Cork, Shane Warne said, “We obviously would have batted first. We still can restrict them to 160-165 which would be a very chase-able total.” He concurred with Cork about all boundaries being too small for in-form batsman Yusuf Pathan as his mis-hits also tend to go for sixes. “We are banking on him for that,” Warne signed off saying.
